Digital transformation and adoption 101  – how to select the best use case?

Not every digital idea is the right place to start. This hands-on training helps public-sector and mission-driven organisations identify, assess and prioritise the use cases that are most likely to create value and succeed in practice.

In two hours, participants are introduced to a practical approach for selecting the best digital transformation use case. The session covers problem framing, strategic relevance, feasibility, adoption conditions, organisational readiness, and common failure patterns. Rather than focusing on technology for its own sake, the training helps participants distinguish between high-value, realistic opportunities and ideas that are still too immature, low-impact or difficult to adopt.

The session is designed for decision-makers, innovation teams, transformation leads and professionals who need a simple but effective way to decide where to start. It is especially relevant for organisations that want to avoid costly misalignment and focus their efforts on initiatives with clear business or public-value potential.

The training is grounded in the trainer’s extensive practitioner experience in digital transformation, including leading large-scale transformation programmes and delivering practice-oriented learning for professional audiences. Helen Tueni is a digital transformation consultant, trainer and entrepreneur with solid experience in digital transformation, e-government, responsible AI and GovTech, combining strategic, operational and training perspectives.

What participants will learn

By the end of the training, participants will be able to identify the characteristics of a strong digital transformation use case, apply practical criteria to compare and prioritise competing options, recognise adoption risks linked to organisational readiness and change, and select a relevant and feasible use case for further development.
